Website Accessibility
Website Accessibility is an increasingly important part of website design and development. Current legislation means that all websites must cater for viewers with disabilities and standards have been put in place by W3C (Worldwide Web Consortium). The benefits of building websites that conform to these standards are:
- Websites can be viewed by different technologies and browsers
- Website usability is enhanced
- Your website will only contain code that it needs to function
In turn this means that your website is accessible to a wider range of customers, will run more efficiently and will be better signposted for website search engines.
Future First’s websites and web based designs all conform to Government legislation relating to current accessibility standards such as Bobby, W3C and the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act). An increasing number of organisations are looking to their suppliers to have their websites meet these standards especially public sector.
Future First offer free W3C website accessibility reports to all clients. We can also provide this service for a fee to assist when a project is in the planning stage. This fee is normally refundable against further downstream project or maintenance work.
Futurefirst have a large number of website clients in London and throughout the UK.
